It is a well designed product, I can not call it a toy because it is much more than that. After building one of the sample configurations, I could put the manual and begin the creative design and build my own. My daughter (3.5 years), he loves. My 6 - (almost 7) years, absolutely loves this toy. I think it is the perfect age for this toy, because he is old enough to understand the different parts and how they differ from each other ... a younger child would probably need parental help in distinguishing the diffent types of blocks.
